DALLAS — Flight simulators allow pilots to practice and improve their skills in a safe and controlled environment before flying a real aircraft. Between 25 and 50 hours of training in a full flight simulator representing the class of airplane for the rating sought may be credited toward the flight time requirement if the training was accomplished as part of an approved training course.
