World War Z 2' Production Delayed; Brad Pitt Will Star In Tarantino's Next Movie Instead

After many delays, the sequel to 2013’s ‘World War Z’ has once again been pushed back. The film was supposed to start shooting in January, but director David Fincher, as recently as November hinted that they needed more time for pre-production. “We’re trying. A lot of stones have been laid. We’re just deconstructing it right now against the mythology that exists to see where we can go.” Now Paramount has announced that production will begin sometime this fall. Instead of ‘WWZ2’, star and executive producer Brad Pitt will appear in Quentin Tarantino’s next film ‘Once Upon a Time in Hollywood’, which deals with the Manson Family murders. That film has pretty much the all-star cast to end all others with Leonardo DiCaprio headlining and Margot Robbie as Manson victim Sharon Tate. The film also stars Tom Cruise, Samuel L. Jackson (of course), Jennifer Lawrence and Al Pacino. Fincher has spent the last year developing ‘WWZ2’, with a draft by Steven Knight and a rewrite by Dennis Kelly. Fincher has been a long time collaborator of Pitt’s, having directed one of his earliest hits ‘Se7en’ followed by ‘Fight Club’ and ‘The Curious Case of Benjamin Button’.
