Magnus Carlsen (NOR) bounced back with a victory over IM FT Muthaiah Al in the third round of Qatar Masters 2023. Muthaiah did not go down easily. He put up a very good fight. Only in the complex queen and minor piece endgame, he made an inaccuracy which was enough for the World no.1 to seize. GM Aditya Mittal held GM Anish Giri (NED) to a draw. The teenager played really well against the World no.7. GM Arjun Erigaisi and GM S L Narayanan are the only two Indians at 3/3. They are going to face each other in the fourth round. IM Vaishali R continues her good run. She drew against GM Temur Kuybokarov (AUS).
