Knuckles the Echidna in Sonic the Hedgehog 2 is one of the games you can play by locking Sonic the Hedgehog 2 onto Sonic & Knuckles via Lock-On Technology. Knuckles "breaks barriers" by replacing Sonic and Tails as a playable character, including all of his abilities from Sonic & Knuckles. This game is mostly the same as the normal Sonic 2, but it has a few changes made to accommodate color changes relating to sprites, altering the title screen, and removing both the 2-Player Mode and Options me
