BonziBuddy, also known as BonziBUDDY, was a desktop assistant by Joe and Jay Bonzi, first released in 1999. At the user's choice, the agent on the screen will share jokes and facts, manage downloads, and more options used for sending emails, playing short games and other miscellaneous content. The software used Microsoft Agent technology similar to Office Assistant,[2] and originally sported Peedy, a green parrot and one of the characters available with Microsoft Agent.
