Descrição
Central Air Force Museum at Monino outside Moscow on August 27, 2015. Sukhoi Design Bureau Sukhoi T-10 Flanker-A "10 Blue". This is the Sukhoi Su-27 first prototype, designated T10-1. It first flew on May 20, 1977 with the Design Bureau`s test pilot Vladimir Sergeyevich Ilyushin at the controls. A total of 11 prototypes were completed in the early T-10 project (with the NATO reporting name Flanker-A). The performance of these test aircraft was very disappointing. So the Design Bureau had to entirely redesign the fuselage and wings, before it could enter production. Note that the nose gear on T10-1 "10 Blue" is located well forward compared to the later production versions of the Flanker, the vertical parallel tailfins, the main gear doors serving as airbrakes and anti-flutter weights added to the wing leading edge and the horisontal and vertical tail. It is equipped with two Lyulka AL-21F3 (izdeliye 89) afterburning turbojets. The new redesigned fighter was called T-10S, with the S standing for sereenynyy or series. The T-10S (with the NATO reporting name Flanker-B) bore only a slight resemblance to its predecessor.
